First of all, you should post all messages to the new address owner-gaussians@nek.lu.se. I would like also to point out that administrative requests should be sent to the same address but with a 'keyword' in the subject bar. Sending 'HELP' (case irrelevant, no quotation marks) to the list will return the following message where the 'keywords' and their function are spelled out explicitly: Arrow recognizes the following commands in the subject field of messages sent to the owner-gaussians mailing list at owner-gaussians@nek.lu.se: SUBSCRIBE subscribe to the list JOIN subscribe to the list UNSUBSCRIBE unsubscribe from the list REMOVE unsubscribe from the list SUSPEND suspends your account until you send a RESUME account SUSPEND-xx suspends your account for xx days or until you send a RESUME command RESUME restarts your suspended account DIGEST get detailed help for DIGEST commands DIGEST-xx set digest period to xx days (xx is a number) and turn on digest mode DIGEST-OFF turn off digest mode DIGEST-ON resume digest mode using default or last selected period RESEND get a single digest message for the last 7 days of messages RESEND-xx get a single digest message for the last xx days of messages (xx is a number) HELP get help with list commands (this message) If the subject of your message is anything other than one of the above commands, the message is forwarded to everyone who has subscribed to the mailing list. A digest is a single MIME-encoded message containing the contents of all the messages posted to the mailing list during the digest period. If you send the DIGEST-xx command to the list, you will no longer receive individual messages. Instead you will receive digest messages at the specified interval. To resume receiving individual messages, send the DIGEST-OFF command. You might want to print this and save it; at least try to remember the HELP command. There is one difference in the way the list is set up at the moment. If you reply to a posted message, the reply is by default sent to the entire list rather then just the poster as was the case with the list at Texas. If consensus is that the old default was better, then this came be changed. Advise me (preferably at my home address, curt.wells@nek.lu.se rather than to the entire list.) Initially the list will be moderated. I will allow 'business' mail from non subscribers; I will also allow text attachments but mail with non-text attachments will be deleted. In the same way I will delete scam mail. We will be changing mail servers shortly and the new one has a built-in scam filter which our current Microsoft exchange server lacks. However, all incoming mail is fed through a virus filter so you should not get infections from us.
