Zusätzlich zu den Standardstatistikfunktionen von GAUSS gibt es eine spezielle Bibliothek zur beschreibenden Statistik. Mit dieser Bibliothek gelingt die Feststellung von Extremwerten in sehr großen numerischen oder alphanumerischen Datenbeständen sowie Berechnung von Kovarianzen und Mittelwertdifferenzen zwischen Gruppen, Korrelationskoeffizienten, Kontingenztabellen und Frequenzerwartungen. Descriptive Statistics MT 1.0 ist multithreadfähig und verwendet Strukturen.
